The map below is more than just dots on a screen — it’s a living trail of a real journey. Each marker represents a place we’ve scouted, considered, or stood in ourselves. Built for travelers like us — those who crave open land, peace and quiet, and space to breathe — this map serves as both a guide and a logbook.
The “To Visit” layer is filled with hand-picked locations we’re aiming to explore: quiet, remote spots, mostly BLM land, chosen for their solitude and minimal human traffic. No resorts. No tourist traps. Just space to exist. Oh, and if my dog isn’t allowed there, then neither am I! So all spots are dog friendly, except for a future “supply and services” category that will have mechanics, grocery locations, etc. If they are dog friendly, it will be mentioned in the description, but they may not be.
The “BLM Land” layer is purely practical — legal spots to park, camp, and stay under the radar. Ideal for vanlifers, travelers with dogs, or anyone trying to avoid crowds while living simply.
The “Visited” layer will grow as we move. Each of those pins will eventually link to blog entries, stories, or reflections. Not influencer nonsense — just honest accounts of what it’s like out there, good or bad.
If you’re someone trying to find your way — especially with a dog by your side — maybe this helps you skip the noise and get right to the peace. That’s the goal. One pin at a time.
